The Industry Link Advisory Service (ILAS) has been established to provide a range of services to help local businesses understand the Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS) and how its implementation may affect their business dealings with the State Government.

Services to Head Contractors

The ILAS can help your business:

  • Develop and complete participation plans more effectively.
  • Understand how to sell to government.
  • Find assistance to build supply chain capability and capacity.
  • Identify upcoming tender opportunities for major scheduled contracts.
  • Find and access other government supply opportunities.
  • Access State and Federal Government financial assistance programs.
  • Understand your rights and responsibilities.
     

Services to Sub Contractors

The ILAS can help your business:

  • Improve its ability to sell to government as a subcontractor.
  • Connect with head contractors.
  • Find assistance to build supply chain capability and capacity.
  • Identify upcoming tender opportunities for major scheduled contracts.
  • Access other government supply opportunities.
  • Access State and Federal Government financial assistance programs.
  • Take part in productivity and business capability activities.
  • Understand your rights and responsibilities.

ILAS will also work with suppliers to build the capability, capacity and competitiveness of local small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and investigate import replacement opportunities.  The role will be essential to creating more opportunities for local businesses.

Advisory Services in Regional Areas

Local Content Advisers
Local Content Advisers (LCAs) perform a similar role to the ILAS in the regional areas of WA. Their focus is on helping support regional businesses compete for State Government supply opportunities.
