The State Government has announced four new rounds of the Local Capability Fund (LCF) to assist businesses to secure procurement opportunities in the public and private sectors.
The LCF aims to help local businesses improve their capability and competitiveness to supply goods, services and works to the government, major projects and other important markets.
The LCF provides funding of up to $20,000 for eligible activities, including consultancy services, purchase and upgrade of equipment, training and qualifications, and improvements to internal business infrastructure and systems.
Four new rounds of the LCF rounds have opened for 2019-20: Aboriginal Business, the Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS), the Future Battery Industry and the METRONET Railcar Procurement.
Applicants are encouraged to seize this opportunity to enhance their businesses with a view to ongoing growth, future job creation and the diversification of the Western Australian economy.
Along with the new LCF rounds, the State Government is continuing to support the steel and construction industries with the existing Steel Industry AS/NZS 5131 compliance and Business Information Services round.
