Hosted by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, in conjunction with the Wheatbelt Development Commission these communication forums are also a chance for regional stakeholders to inform government about local procurement issues and priorities.

Attendees will learn about policies that support local businesses, including an update on the Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS), as well as how to access upcoming state government projects and initiatives throughout the Wheatbelt region.

In addition to speakers from our department, presenters will include representatives from a number of organisations and state government agencies relevant to the region.

The forum provides a setting to hear of upcoming opportunities for your business, speak to decision makers first-hand, including an opportunity to network with presenters and other government representatives after the presentations.

This event is part of the department’s commitments to provide local businesses, in particular small and medium sized enterprises, with more opportunity to compete for major contracts.
