Support for agencies

Help for agencies to better understand the Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS) and implement it into your procurement cycle.
Last updated:

Western Australian Government agencies can get help to implement the WAIPS through the Industry Link Advisory Service and the Local Content Advisers.

Regional support (Local Content Advisers)

Local Content Advisers (LCAs) are available to provide advice to WA Government agencies in regional WA.

LCAs work closely with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) and use their local knowledge to provide agencies with:

  • Guidance on complying with the WAIPS and participation plans.
  • Feedback from small to medium sized enterprises on their experiences in competing for government supply opportunities.
  • Help in promoting upcoming major contracts in regional areas so that businesses in those regions have enough time to consider and prepare competitive bids.
  • Feedback to JTSI regarding any agency concerns.
